the Baring Foundation grants programmes

Joint International Development programme 2012 (in collaboration with the John Ellerman Foundation)
The Joint International Development programme for 2012 is now open - the deadline for sending in applications is 29 March 2012. Please make sure you have read the the Joint International Development programme guidelines and the supplementary information sheet before making your application.

How to apply to the first stage of the Joint International Development programme

There are two alternative methods of application:

(a) VIA THE INTERNET.
Complete the on-line application form by clicking onto this link and submitting your form electronically by 29 March 2012. There will be an "eligibility quiz" before access is granted to the form. Subsequently you must also send us by post, by 29 March 2012, a written outline proposal that includes the information set out in "How and When to Apply" section 1.1 of the guidelines.

If you need to return to an electronic application you have already begun click onto this link to regain access to your form - you will be asked for your e-mail address and a password.

(b) BY POST. Complete the application form (click here to download a Word version of the form) and send it to us by post, to reach us by 29 March 2012 with a written outline proposal that includes the information set out in "How and When to Apply" section 1.1 of the guidelines. Please note that we will need two copies of the application form but only one copy of the written outline proposal and supporting documents.

Arts Project programme 2012
The Arts Project programme for 2012 is closed. The deadline for sending in applications was 30 September 2011, new grants will be awarded in March 2012.

Strengthening the Voluntary Sector programme
At the end of 2010 the Foundation agreed a small number of grants aimed at concluding the five-year independence programme. There will be no open grant application round in 2011 as the Foundation develops guidelines for a new STVS programme. These will be published on this web-site no earlier than April 2012.
